Island Home Park Neighborhood Association...welcome to Island Home Welcome you to our neighborhood. We hope that you enjoy the time spent exploring the Island Home Park Community and learning about the IHPNA. You will discover quickly what the residents of Island Home have known since it was established. It is truly a special place to call home.

The Island Home Park Neighborhood Association (IHPNA) is an organization of all residents within our neighborhood boundaries. The IHPNA Board and Officers were elected to represent residents' issues and concerns.

Our Mission
The Island Home Park Neighborhood Association's mission is to "preserve, promote, and maintain the character of our Island Home Park neighborhood community and its beauty, safety, and overall livability."

The minutes from the May 13, 2009 Board of Governors' Meeting are available here.

The Knoxville South Waterfront Newsletter is designed to keep those interested in water front development informed about the status of the process. The June 2009 issue is now available here in PDF format.

A notice from the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon........
Congrats to Island Home!
The Island Home Community has won the competition as the favorite neighborhood for marathon participants once again. Congratulations to Sequoyah Hills, Parkridge, and 4th and Gill, who battled Island Home closely this year, but didn't quite get enough votes to dethrone the defending champion. As the winners, Island Home will receive a $250 check toward their neighborhood association. Congrats again!
............Many, many thanks to all the people who helped the IHPNA remain at the top!

The annual IHPNA Hunt for Eggs was a huge success. Eggs were found, candy was eaten, and giant bunnies were spotted here and there. Have a look for yourself by going here.

A very special thanks to all those who helped the 2009 Knoxville Marathon runners feel welcome and supported in Island Home. We have a couple of letters that are testament to the great job everyone did even when faced with a cold damp morning. The first letter is from Cindy Spangler and can be seen here. The second, from a South Carolinian running in her first marathon, can be seen here.

A copy of a letter sent by the IHPNA to John Gumpert of Camden Management Partners, Inc. concerning development of the "Tank Farm" property can be seen here in PDF format.
